What is a dental implant?​
A dental implant is a titanium rod which serves to function as an artificial root for your tooth. The implant is surgically placed into the jawbone and integrates with the surrounding bone material. This integration process can take anywhere from 3 to 6 months after which it is restored with an artificial crown. Implants can be used to provide support for bridges, crowns or dentures.

How it works​

The procedure is performed at the practice by Dr. Rob Dorrington, who has been working with dental implants for many years. He has presented to fellow dental implantologists at the annual Annual Dental Implantology Forum at King’s College London, as well as presenting he enjoys mentoring new Dental Implantology students and is a member of the Association of Dental Implantology. Robert is also a Fellow of the prestigious Royal College of Surgeons. He accepts referrals from other Dentists, so if you currently have a Dentist and simply wish to have your implants placed at Inglewood House, after which you would return to your own Dentist for your routine care we can accommodate you gladly.
