Crowns are an ideal way to rebuild teeth, which have been broken, or weakened by decay or a very large filling. Your tooth is usually prepared and shaped first before a newly fabricated porcelain crown is fitted over the top, making it strong and giving it the shape and contour of a natural tooth. Crowns are sometimes also known as ‘caps’.
Here at Inglewood House Dental Practice we offer both laboratory made crowns and same day CEREC 3D crowns, which are fabricated, in our onsite ceramic studio in less than an hour.
We like to keep up to date with advances in dental technology and are proud to present our own computerised CEREC® 3D ceramic studio.
This technology enables us to provide high quality natural looking ceramic restorations (crowns, veneers, onlays) in a single visit. This procedure would normally take at least 2 weeks and 2 separate visits to your dentist.
How does it work?
In about an hour we can provide you with a permanent, natural-looking all ceramic crown, inlay, or veneer with no need for a second appointment or impressions. This means fewer injections, less drilling, and less time out of your hectic schedule for dental care.
